Noticed this 1950 4x4........

Definitely not mine, but I stumbled across this and figured one of you 4x4 dudes might give it a look. It's got a few strange looking issues (front fenders have been opened up, etc.). Lots of "little" unknowns like does it have an engine/tranny, what kind of chassis, etc. Who knows. It may be somebody's dream truck. (I charge a 6% finders fee )

Doc,

It's 70% finished! What's to worry about.

It's 70% finished= I got into this project and found there is way too much to do and I don't know how to do it.

I like it. All except the bumpers.

It's either a chevy or dodge front axle. The front axle is way too wide.

He's asking too much money for that!

That bumper looks goofy. To me it looks too square to be a 87-91 Ford bumper.

Just my opinion, but that front end is WAY too wide. I could maybe see it if the back matched, but that just looks dumb, IMO. But somebody will probably love it.

I agree the front is too wide. IMO it wouldn't be so noticeable if the rear end were just as wide. And I agree it's too much money. But you mark my word, he'll sell it. I'm not even sure where he got those FORD letters on the front valence. And I also agree, that wrap-around front bumper needs to go.

They can look good with the wider axles. I like the looks of this one that's on You tube.

The front end is not too wide, it's just not narrow enough. You see, it's all in the perspective.

I agree with that. The only off-roading those trucks are good for is running through mud puddles. They wouldn't make it the first 1/4 mile into the Rubicon.

Sorry to sound like Mr. Negativity but I agree that the bumpers really don't fit the truck either. Regardless thanks for sharing those pix Doc & foreman75.

Doesn't anyone have pictures of a good fat fender 4x4 that isn't jacked up and has tires that fit under those big wheel wells?

Member jpb222 has one of the nicest non-stock but stock looking 4X4 I've ever seen:

Don't forget about Chuck's M-Hs.

I really like jpb222's truck too.

I'm going with bigger tires on my 54. I'm going 33" BFG AT tires on mine. But I'm going with the narrow ones ( only 9.5" ) . No 12.5" or 14.5" wide tires on my truck.
