steering wheel leather

I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with the leather wearing away on the steering wheel ? My 08's leather on the steering wheel is wearing pretty bad and i'm wonder what kind of options i have ? dealer wants 450 to replace the steering wheel (seems kinda extreme just to replace the leather)

I have the same thing. Leather where I use my palm to turn the wheel one handed and at 10/2 are worn and ugly. About to become an issue. Also where it it sown together where it meets to the center is unthreading.

I just put a steering wheel cover on it and pretend it's perfect. I would also know what can be done.

Everyone I have heard about having this problem have either just dealt with it or covered it with a wheel cover.

Combination of cheaper leather on the wheel and the fact that most steering wheels will have leather that rubs off in some areas just from constant use.

Mine wore a tiny little circular hole, so I wrapped a bit of electrical tape around it. The black tape would look better without the white lettering but I figure its a conversation piece.
