AC Compressor Oil ???

How much oil an I supposed to use in my compressor if it is completey dry? Everything is new and flushed in the 87 Bronco.

Archion is your best source, he has the charts. You will need to tell him which compressor it is, 86 would be an FS-6, newer ones are FS-10.

Specs call for 7oz total system charge. Do not put it all in the compressor at once, split it up in the system. If you can get FJC part# 2468, that would be best for you to use on a clean system retro'd to 134.

Should I put 3 or 4 oz in the compressor and then charge the rest into the lines?

That's the ticket. I usually pour some in.the accumulator.
