Swapping chips from different years?
Hey guys, my question is is it safe to put a chip from a different year 7.3 onto a truck? I wouldnt doubt it would be ok to do it with trucks from 94.5 to 97 but what about from an 01 to a 96? Are there major differences in tuning? It is a bullydog powerhound and says for years 94.5 to 03. Plug styles are different but i can swap them out with brand new ones and it would still be cheaper than buying a new one (this is a plug and play style). Ive read not to go over 80hp on the stock injectors in our trucks, which i never would. It is only a 3pos with stock, 40h for towing and 100h, which i wouldnt use. Never. Ever.
