Front axle question.

Would a 1990 dana 60 out of a 90 F350 be a direct replacement for the dana 44 I have in my 79 F250? I have a freind that has a freind thats got one and willing to sell it and I dont want to buy it and have it just sitting in my yard after I found out it dont fit. Thanks in advance.

It would work if you moved the leaf spring pads. Not sure about the drive shaft.
