Dana 60 Axle
I have a 91 F250 right now, and have a I-Beam susp so I don't have a solid axle up front. I wrecked it a couple nights ago and saw that my front axle looked pushed back and bent. The right wheel is also totally off alignment it weeves out to the right. I was on ebay and saw a Dana 60 off a 79, front and rear axle up for sale. Would these fit on a 91 F250? If so do they require much modification to fit on, like are there kits for them?

The rear one will fit. Not sure on the spring width of the front one. A Dana 60 front axle from an '86-'97 F350 will fit though. You need the trac bar and bracket from the F350, all the steering linkage and the front springs.

Im going to be heading up to some junkyard around here and looking for a F350 with a solid dana 60. How much would you guys be estemating a axle to cost. And how would I go about replacing the front springs, do you have a site that lists them. And on the spring pads do they have them listed at any sites, and do you just weld thouse on? And on the steering. Do I need to replace the steering box, and everything up to the steering shaft or what?

Dana 60 front axles are typically $750-1000. I was walking through the junkyard one day and picked one up for $500, but most yards know what they are worth. I sold it one week later for $750.
