Front axle

I have a 1991 F-250 with the factory Dana 44 IFS. I purchased a
Dana 60 front axle out of a 79 F-350. Does anyone know if it will
work and what I need to do to make it work. I know I have to
move the spring pads, but what else do I need to do?

Spring pads will have to move out. The frames are wider 1980 on. Also make sure it is a high pinion which I am sure it is.

Besides the spring pads being moved out, it will work. Right?

Look the stering over to see if they are the same, or if you can make the one on your dana 60 work with the new style.

I can get the steering to work with no problem at all. I'm just worried about the overall width of the axle. I haven't had alot of time to measure the overall width of both of them and didn't know if anyone on here has been through the same thing I have going on right now.
