If a guy was to download the $5 Torque Pro from the market, would it work on both your phone and tablet or would you have to purchase it twice?
If you use the same gmail / android store account on both, they're available to download at any time [won't install it automagically though.]
Got to test mine out on my truck, nice having a vehicle that can use a boost gauge Also, the MPG seemed to be accurate when I had it on a profile for my 2007 Jetta, but when I made one for it [diesel fuel, 3600kg] it was claiming 40mpg+! Of course, my odometer/gas receipts tell quite a different tale.

Thanks.
Why isn't your Jetta 40+ mpg? Seems pretty common for the TDI's...

Oh sorry, a bit confusing there. In the torque app there are different profiles you can setup for different cars, and when it was hooked up to my 7.3L '00 F250, using the Jetta [2.5L Gas ] profile, it was reporting about 16~20mpg, and 40+ under the profile I made for it with the correct fuel type and weight. I may play around with it a bit, see if switching to "gas" or moving the other ***** around does much.
The app did not work on my 01 F-550. I tried two different blue tooth adapters, one cheap $20 one and a highly recommended $100 one. Neither would read my truck and would actually shut my truck down when trying to get data.
Ford did not use a true obd II on the 7.3. The 6.0 is true obdII so the app should work on later year models.
Torque Pro does work well on my 2002 VW Golf and on my 2008 Mercedes GL CDI.
I use the pro version on my 2002 7.3 and can say I love it, I have tried every other app for both Iphone and android and this is by far the best and most updated. The developer is adding more specific Diesel codes every day.

If AE can read from the OBDII port, I don't see why this couldn't do the same. Seems like the limitations are the Bluetooth and processor speed. I wouldn't even care if it had to be corded with a USB connection for my tablet/phone.
I have the app and have used it on my 03 250 (7.3), it works but as everyone else has noted the application can only read select data. It doesn't have anywhere near the information my 99 durango (5.9), 07 fusion (2.3), or 11 f-150 (5.4) gives (stated from least amount of data to most amount of data). I run this blue tooth adapter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details
The readout is nearly instant on the F150 and Fusion, but it seems slightly lagged on the 99 and the superduty. I think it may be a polling / updating issue either on torque or the bus of the truck(s). I also paid for the app, instead of using the lite version if that makes any difference. For the newer vehicles, it is impressive the amount of data it can read from the OBD2 port.
Edit: I am using a Motorola Atrix II (Android 2.3.6)
Sure can , I don't have the truck at work here but when I get home I will make a list, or shoot some pictures of what it will and will not read. I will try to post them tonight or tomorrow. Bear with me, it is a long list of items on the Torque app!
I cheated, so I took the point and shoot out and just took a picture of each screen instead of screen capturing it. This is a list of all available gauges you can add in a list. I haven't dabbled with this program enough to completely understand it but its very easy to use and nice. On the fusion / f150 most of these values were real time and available (when there is a sensor available). I plugged my bluetooth adapter into the obd2 port of the 250 and started it up (35 degrees outside right now ). Starting at the top took a screen shot about every page without missing any sensors.
Some of these values are calculated, some of these are real time, some are from the computer (vehicle), other values are direct from the phone (gps type items). Hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know.
