I have no exp with the AE. This app pulls more than codes..you can set it up to monitor anything it pulls info from..ie CAT temp, fuel pressure, intake temp, etc.
Cat Temp and Fuel Pressure? There is no way it can monitor fuel pressure since the PCM does not monitor it. Can it measure ICP, IPR DC, Fuel Inj. PW, or the things we normally need to see? Just curious??????

I saw that too but I assumed he was referring to the other vehicles he uses it on.
I have used several OBD II devices. None have given the results on the diesels that most are looking for. I have been interested in these applications and have pondered picking one up. If someone like yourself that has it can verify that they can read ICP, IPR DC%, PW and they can indeed read the Powertrain codes, i would be willing to spend the money on it.
I have AE and the Aeroforce Scangauge, so I have the capability already. Having it as an option on my phone would be nice too.
Is there anyway you could check those? I know the PCM will give up RPM, MAP and Speed. Those are standard for OBD II and have always worked.
I only used it to check if my MAP was working correctly and even doing that I questioned it. As far as pulling drivetrain codes..I haven't had any on the diesel yet, but worked perfect on my gas vehicle's. I have a feeling this is probably not what your looking for..It give's basic data..
Since it comes with a CD, what Android has a CD in it?
The PLX Kiwi looks to be fast and reliable, so that's where I'm looking if this is do-able at all.

Smart phones dont have CD's, Androids have SD cards or SD micro chips that you can pull out and put into your laptop. iphones dont have SD cards, all there storage is built in. It says you can save the info on your smart phone then you can email that to yourself and veiw it on your laptop. I'm thinking the CD is for telling you how to use the product. This would be good for other ford vehicles without the navstar eng in it.
It will read icp. DC % rpm speed and pulse width. My cheap 20 dollar adapter will not keep up with the truck. I want to try the plx wiki adapter but would rather have ae. But it will pull codes so it was a well spent 30 bucks on it. Still may try the better adapter.
