Adding the factory Parking Sensor system

Ok, I have been searching and haven't found anyone who has actually done it, several questions and then everyone has gone aftermarket.

Well, I want the system, and I like having the factory look, as if it was an original option, so I am considering:

A: sourcing all the needed used OEM parts and trying to make it work

B: Trying to make an aftermarket system work with the factory switch on the dash so it "looks" factory/

Either way I have to buy the switch, so cost there is the same. I know aftermarket systems are about $100. But I have access to the factory Parking Assist Module for $50, so then I would just need sensors and some wiring and I have seen the sensors at the bone yards or ebay so...

Trying to see if anyone has more specific knowledge.

Where do the dash wires for the parking assist switch run to? Is there a location that there is then a plug for a separate harness?

Any assistance and info is appreciated.

Look in the back compartment behind the jack and see if the wiring is there for the park assist module. If you need picks I can get them for you. I might have all the parts you need that are factory. (speaker, madule and rear bumper harness) Let me know what you want to do or what you want.

I have the parking assist system and its better than nothing, but this is 2012... you can buy a backup camera off amazon for $50 that is far more effective. For $150 you can buy one that replaces your factory mirror so there isn't even a monitor to hide.

I dont see anything there. Do you know if there is some intermediate harness that plugs in somewhere (where ever the dash wires end and then goes to the area behind the jack?

Pull out your passenger tail light and see if there is a big plug behind it.

So I pulled the taillight and no plug there.

I am at a loss where the dash wires run to. Any other ideas?

The plug is mounted inside the light hole on the body.

I really do not see any wires there, are you sure there is no other location they could go to?
