We finally had a navigation system installed and while in the shop a whole new dvd/tv system.
My question is....is the radio,dvd system (complete molding= rear climate controls,dvd screen,dvd player) worth anything. It would be for some who has this stuff from the factory and there dvd system broke. I wouldnt recommed it to some who doesnt have the factory wiring already installed.
So do you guys think I should bother tryin to sell these?? Like I said it would be for someone who has all this from the factory for it to be a true bolt on replacement.

It definitely would be worth something to the right buyer. For example, I believe mine came with the factory vcr/tv (2000 model), but it looks like it was removed. Behind the sunroof, the rear climate controls was screwed in with a wood screw in front and in back and doesn't look very secure. Also, there are rca jacks and a 110v plug on the back drivers side of the front console.
I just bought it a few weeks ago and had an issue with the computer that I've been troubleshooting for the last week, so I haven't had a chance to look into a dvd/tv system, but it is on my list of stuff to do.
A quick check on "Excursion dvd" didn't produce any systems.
I'm not sure if mine came with the factory system or if somebody hooked up aftermarket. I haven't looked to see how much of the wiring is there. Out of curiosity, what would you be asking for it?
Lol. I'll trade you a faulty Jet Performance chip that causes the PCM to short out. Your excursion should still run as long as you don't push the gas. Oh, and don't park it with the exhaust pointed to anything you don't want black. And don't expect to be able to hook up a code reader to figure out what's wrong.

 

Thinking about it, I'll bet there was an aftermarket one installed. Possibly with an aftermarket stereo. There are a few extra fuses (20A and 3A if I remember correctly) rigged up to the fuse box and a hot wire tapped into another under the dash. Also, there's a small toggle switch installed on the bottom to the right side of the access panel...
All the wires seem to go towards the stereo, but I haven't taken the dash apart to track it down.

 

That doesnt sound factory.

Is the radio the 6 disc changer and does it still work?

 

Ya its the 6 disc unit. We have a 2005 Limited 4x4.

I just checked ebay and found 1 for a buy it now @ $99.00, guy says it may need repairs. Also do not know if it was out of a unit with the integrated entertainment system.

Make an offer? Im totally guessin is $250 out of line? I honestly dont know what it would go for. Unit is in perfect workin condition. I just upgraded to a 15 inch system. If thats honestly too much,what is a fair price??

 

The local salvage yards around here get $100ea for the radio and DVD player with a 90 day warranty!
