Hey guys i have been searching for a long time and i figured i would just ask but what are the part numbers for the 05 center caps like the ones below? also i wanted to make sure they come with the metal tabs like in the last picture because mine are plastic tabs and the just keep falling off.
Our Ford Dealer and Parts Dept. is really back in times and really slow in the knowledge area and whenever I needed a part off of another vehicle or vehicle I've seen that is a Ford I would normally hunt a vehicle down on eBay that is of the same model and year and just provide my Ford dealer that VIN and tell them what I need from that specific vehicle.
thats true i didnt even think of that, ive been having a problem with my rear center cap falling off i even bought a new one and it fell off again and got run over so i was thinking metal tabs on the inside over plastic ones would be a better choice in the long run.
I was running 08 SD OEM 18" Hollanders on my Ex and have them sitting on the back burner for the new Ex I picked up till I can have our gears done but I honestly had never bothered checking to see of the tabs on my 08 caps are plastic or metal. Could also be because I didn't even notice? LOL I never had problems with them falling off or coming loose in anyway and I am almost positive they are plastic tabs. The lug nuts I'm using is the OEM lug nuts. Maybe it's your lug nuts?
thats what i was thinking they are still the same lug nuts from the factory as far as i know but i thought it was strange how my new hubcap that i bought after the first one stayed on for like 2 months then started falling off every day and after about a week it finally got run over so i wanted to get it fixed before i buy another one lol.
i think around $30-$40 not sure ive been trying to find them for the price but that what i saw for the prices on the parts sites, its its a KR it goes for 70 lol
So I've been doing alot of research and I've found that ford sold or still sells the center caps with metal clips and plastic clips the one in the very last pick I posted originally has metal clips and a ford part number but that part number doesn't show up anywhere, has anyone had experience with the metal ones? I feel that they would be better personally
yeah, it has one for every lug nut i believe. Thats what my current ones have as well, i just want to get what ever stays on my wheel best lol i dont want to keep buying new ones.
