Hi,
My first time on this forum, so hope you guys bear with me..When I push the front end, it bounces 3 times (2 to 3 secs.). At first, thought it was bad shocks. I installed new Rancho shocks and still have the same problem. I do have a 4 inch lift, 2WD 1/2 ton 1994 XL. Could it be the front springs?. Is this normal?. The rear is fine. No bounce to it..Any suggestions would be greatful.
It Bounces like you push down on the hood and it literally bounces?? Its suppose to have some spring to it, but requires some force to push it down and such. Can you easily push on the hood and it goes down? Or do you have to jump and put force into it? (I'm a little guy so weight isn't on my side)
Either way, if it goes down really easily, It could be time for new springs. You said it was 2WD, when you go off to the side, is the front end lower than the rear?
Those new shocks are defective or they're the wrong ones for this truck, or some of your lift components are really loose!
i have to agree. its hard to believe the shocks would be bad but it does happen. and something pretty drastic in the suspension would have to be wrong, if its not the shocks
I order the shocks on line and explain the components I had on the truck, lift kit and such. For the bounce, I push once and let go on my front bumper to check it. I'll check the other parts of the chassis and see what I can find. Thanx for the input, guys.
