Bounce

Why the heck does the front of my truck keep bouncing up and down after I hit a bump in the road? I have 4 inch lift springs with a RSK and Doetsch shocks. Am I expecting to much from a lifted truck or will better shocks help with this.

Shocks could be bad. One tons are pretty rough ride anyways...

Shocks job is to control and dampen up and down movement. I am guessing you need more shocks to control the mass weight.

As in two shocks on each side instead of getting one heaver one? I am trying to take the guess work out of this. I don't want to just keep buying shocks till I find something that works. And I don't know if my expectations from a lifted truck are unrealistic.

I am assuming all the parts on the front end are tight and correctly aligned. I would go with 2 shocks per side, and I would use gas shocks. IMO

Put your body weight (or just stand on) the front bumper, get it moving up and down and see if you get resistance like you should with the shocks. Should stop you a few bounces in. If it keeps bouncing around, you shocks obviously aren't doing their job.

Yea thats it. The F350 with the extra heavy diesel engine thats probabley not helping them shocks work any better.

Any suggestions on shocks that might work out without breaking the bank?
