Just curious, because the 1998 f150 I got, made a trip which totaled 202.6 miles, and suprisingly it only took 9.8 gallons granted it was 90% freeway driving, but 20mpg? I was expecting more like 13-14mpg. It is a 5spd and 4.6L engine, Im just suprised because I did fill up before going, and filled up at the same pump when I got back. I have yet to figure out the round town mileage yet.

Congrats on that. On one trip several years ago I really tried to get 20mpg. I have a 5.4 supercrew 4X4. I drove on the interstate at 60-65. The best I ever got was like 19.2. Around town i get 13-15 and on average on the highway I get 16-17. I do realize I don't have the best vehicle combo for gas mileage.
I have an 01 5.4, 3.55 geared, 4X4 Screw. I usually get 12-14 city and 17 hwy. I have gotten a high of 20 on a trip to OH from WI both ways. On my trip to NM last year I was anywhere from 15.5 to 19.6 depending on the speed limit.
Mine is an 03' 5.4 HD tow package FX4 scab and I just got 20.2 @ 65 mph. I usually get 14-15 locally although I don't live in the city. If I run 70-75 I'm in the 17-19 range regularly with only one pee stop.
