05 with 107k on her! My gauge was reading 11.8 in the morning before I started her up! With the glow plugs on and starting her, it would drop all the way down to 11.1! When the alt. Would start to come on it would jump up to 12.7, then all the way on it would be 13.7! I put bran new Moro craft Batteries now I'm at 12.4 in the morning, but when I started her up it drop all the way down to 11.1-11.5! But would only stay there for a little wile, then it would be 11.9-12.2!! What the heck is going on here? 11.1?????? With new batteries
That's the glow plugs pulling the voltage down and then the starter kicks in. Your voltages look normal. When the glow plugs time out, 1 to 2 min, that's when your voltages jumps back up. You look good to go. Optimal voltage in the morning before turning the key should be 12.5 to 12.7 volts.

Have you purchased a Scan Gauge yet? If not, it's highly recommended. Enables you to watch the FIMC voltages as well as the coolant and oil temps. Very critical!
