Tire advice

Hello
I have a stock 79 F150 supercab 4x4 400 4speed. I am wondering if these tires would be too big for my truck both size wise for the steel rims and for the 4oo stock motor. My 235 75 15 tires are in fair shape but starting to dry rot or should I just stick with the original size. If these fit is the price reasonable or how much should a guy offer. Heres the link.

What are your gears? I have 3.50's in my 77, you probly have the same,, 31's are good,, I have 285/75/16's (33's),, they are a tad tall for mtn. driving, so if you are all stock no lift,, they should fit just fine,,, maybe walk up with $400 cash in nice hunert dolla bills!! That always works best!

Whats the tallest tire you can fit on Fair 96's truck?
I have about same truck with 31's and was wondering if 33's would fit with no lift?

33's fit no problem, but 35's are starting to push it... I would offer him $400 as well and those tires are absolutely fine for a stock 79 F-150. I ran 33's for a while on a stock motor and it was fine. The stock 400 isn't a power house even with little tires!

The wider tires will be better for soft ground but not so good for fuel consumption, rain and snow. Appearance is personal. You pay your money and make your choice.
