i have a 2005 f-350. i need to know how i can tell what amp my alternator is? i think i need to replace it, i checked voltage when running and it does not go much above 12 volt never hits 13. i only have one on this truck. is ford alternator the best option or is like wilson or champion just as good?
X2 on the DC Power alternator I have had one for about 8 months now and works Great with my stereo system. Plus they are all NEW Product no rebuild to worrey about
I tried an OEM from Ford and smoked it in 5000 miles
Plus with DC Power alternator you get to keep your alternator for a backup there is no core charge or anything like that
At 12 volts your alternator is Likely Bad
My alternator Hits 14.3-14.6 volts while its charging then settles down to 13.3-13.6 volts
Get Batterys checked and clean all Battery cables and connections Make shure you clean the Main Grounds on by A/C Compressor and one to the frame by the power steering pump
