Banks Logo

There is a banks logo on the side of my truck. And I keep finding the previous owners changed lots of stuff already, so I'm thinking, which part is a banks part? There's an edge programmer on the dash. Cowl induction hood. Munster exhaust. AIS intake. I can't SEE the Banks so where could it be?

Banks Billet™ Torque Converter-E40D

<!-- ############################# OVERVIEW ############################## -->
PICKUP/EXCURSION with E4OD/4R100 automatic: With its multi-disc lockup clutch assembly and improved forged-steel billet housing that maintain solid contact without flexing, the new Banks Billet Torque Converter with RaceLock® technology provides far greater torque capacity than stock (1100 lb-ft vs. 740 lb-ft). And because the lockup clutch is slip-resistant, transmission fluid temperatures stay cooler and transmission life is prolonged. From its single-piece billet housing CNC-machined from forged steel to the furnace-brazed turbine and impeller, and from the furnace-brazed and hardened turbine hub to the hardened pump drive made of 4130 chrome-moly steel to withstand massive torque, the Banks Billet Torque Converter is built for precision, performance and long-lasting durability. It's meticulously designed to properly match the Ford's torque band to deliver the maximum power to the wheels and improve acceleration. The Banks Billet Torque Converter is also a smart upgrade for trucks modified for increased performance. The entire assembly is balanced and blueprinted for ultimate performance and smoothness.
For optimal automatic transmission performance, Banks recommends its TransCommand® to manage line pressure, provide sure and sturdy shifts, lower transmission fluid temperature and further improve transmission durability. For power upgrades to Fords with E40D or 4R100 transmissions, TransCommand is required.

Banks EconoMind

September 22, 2008

INTRODUCING THE ECONOMIND® DIESEL TUNER
  • More fuel economy under any load condition
  • Proven mileage and power
  • Adjust-on-the-fly power levels
  • CleanTune™ Technology
  • Built-in powertrain safeguards
  • Calibrates the engine to use less fuel at any power level
  • Pays for itself!
Watch it: The guys on TruckU show how installing
an EconoMind safely improves power AND mileage.

WANT FUEL ECONOMY?
Banks has been refining the answer to that question for more than three decades. Remember the Arab oil embargo of 1973? That was the year that fuel economy became very... important! By midyear 1974 we had answered the demand for truck and RV fuel economy systems. Those products were branded Banks PowerPack®. Now, 34 years later, Banks introduces the Banks EconoMind® Diesel Tuner.
The EconoMind makes your diesel more efficient. So, you get a mileage improvement at any speed and an extra "kick-in-the-tail" when you need it. Now you can offset increased fuel costs and enjoy your investment. Have a great trip.
WORLD-CLASS PRODUCTS DEMAND WORLD-CLASS TESTING
Accuracy to .00003 gallon! Others use fuel gauges and odometers to measure fuel economy. Not Banks. Our engineers demand uncompromising precision. Banks' cutting-edge Fuel Measurement System (shown below) is accurate to .00003 gallon. That's three one-hundred-thousandths! And we use military-grade GPS equipment to determine vehicle speed and distance.

That's not all. We test vehicles on mountains. On flat land. Fully loaded. And empty. Bottom line:
Nobody tests to a higher accuracy than Banks... Nobody!

Doubtful. The EconoMind would conflict with Edge programmer.

Could be a Banks intercooler or any number of other "non-visible" bolt-ons.
