Hi All!
Just bought a f350 ext cab super duty lariat with a 7.3L.
Has 199,000 mi
I know nothing about this truck other than , I just want it :-)
The previous owner said it ran rough and or shut off at times.
He was right, it will run norma, then at a traffic light shut off or run rough. I have to brake rev to keep it going.
It has not shut off during highway driving.
Also, just today, went to start the truck, had a flashing airbag light, then goes on steady. I noticed rough running and hard shifts. This didnt happen yesterday, just today.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!
What year is the truck, and does it have any mods, chip, ..? Is the check engine light on? Does it ever not run rough? First guess would be under cover valve harness. You can check for this with an ohm meter easily. Do a search for UVCH in the 7.3 section.

Maybe a mod could move this there.

Flashing airbag light is a sign the alternator is not working right IIRC... might be a good idea to individually load-test your batteries, see what voltage you're getting at idle, and possibly check the alternator.
