When you come onto an internet forum with adults, many of them over the 50+ year mark, it's generally regarded as a good thing to type like you're literate instead of a hormone crazed teenager that flunked English because his parents never sat him down and taught him how to do his homework and form sentences.
Chris is doing his job by keeping the forum clean and orderly, as well as organized, and also is one of the main people on here that devotes his time to helping others. He has done so in MANY ways that you will never know.
As far as your punctuation, learn to spell and use your apostrophes first:
"explination"
"dont"
"puncuation"
It's "explanation," "don't" with an apostrophe, and "punctuation".
You can't expect help if you aren't willing to make yourself well understood.
You'd probably just be one of the members that gets his questions answered and disappears anyway. So do yourself a favor and leave.
I have no respect for anyone who's willing to insult someone they don't even know, especially when that person in particular is willing to jump through hoops to provide someone with knowledge that they don't even have.
I suggest you go get your "Government Motors" buddies to help you.

What I originally asked you to do (in your first thread HERE) was to use white space in your text. White space between lines is easier to read on big-screen monitors.
Your spelling & punctuation wouldn't pass the examination of an English teacher but it's better than in your first post, thank you. The text is passable and we can figure out what you're saying, even with the grammatical errors (e.g. your/you're).
Nobody is saying people here need to use 100% perfect English, but the onus is on you to write clearly and understandably since you are the one asking for help, not the other way around.
I was trying to give you the opportunity to go edit your posts (which I know might be hard to do on a phone) and, if you did that at least marginally well, I was gonna PM 85lebaront2 and ask him to chime in on your problem.
I really *am* trying to get you help here, there are some good guys here who can offer some sound advice including Gary Lewis, who I allowed to post his reply to your original thread before I closed it again. but your attitude is really pushing the limits....

akboy, I saw you just posted a topic on carburetors. Best thing you can do is get real familiar with the search function, as I doubt anyone is going to help you.

Hopefully Chris and Gary and 85lebaront2 will try to still help you. Bear in mind they aren't obligated to help or accept your apology.
Like Chris said, you aren't obligated to type 100% perfect, but it is nice to have some form when talking on an internet forum. There are those of us like Gary and myself who try to make their posts as clean as possible and "neat", but it's not a requirement. Insults are not taken lightly though, as none of us here take part in that. We're a very clean and friendly forum, and that's how we like it to stay.
Go back and re-read the post in your original thread by Gary Lewis and see where that gets you. The QJ isn't worth a flip, in my opinion.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Qjets are prone to leaking passage plugs and float issues, their floats make real good fire starters. With it warmed up and idling, look down the throat for fuel dribbling out of the primary nozzles, if it is, then you have either a float problem, or you put the pull clip on wrong. The clip does not go through either of the holes in the float tang, it goes over the bump in the center. If it is through either hole it will make the needle bind in the seat.
Throttle-shafts on a QJ are prone to wear and then leaking vacuum (causing high idle). The fix is to pull the carburetor apart, bore is out, install bushings, and a new throttle shaft.
Check the typical things too, like float level, and the possibility of a warped base-plate.
It may be worth your while to just buy a new carburetor. Won't know until your issues are identified.
I have looked at the previous threads on Edelbrock vs Holley but still did not know who has more experience. But I am starting to learn.
If you have the oppotunity to put something close to original back on that you know is in good working condition, without that adapter plate, it would probably be a good move.
you also mentioned something about a performer intake...they are a good intake. I have a weiand on mine and I think I'd rather have the Edlebrock. You have to know what you want in the end though. By going to an aftermarket intake and carb, you may be loosing all your emissions that may be there now.
If you have an automatic....make sure, if you change carbs, you get something that will accept the ford kickdown rod

And, I forgot about the clip. Good point, Bill. The visual check down the bores would be the place to start, and pull the carb after that if you don't see it dripping.
