Question on PCM reflash on DPF deleted 2008 6.4
I have a question for the experts. I recently purchased a 2008 King Ranch F250 6.4 Powerstroke with 52K on the clock. The truck has quite a few modifications that include a DPF delete, AFE cold air intake, cat back MBRP exhaust, and a plug and play tuner.
When I bought the truck I did not get the plug and play programmer with it (lost by previous owner). I do not like the program that's in the truck. Tranny shifts like crap and it's still drinking fuel like a drunken sailor. Luckly I live about 100 miles from Brian's truck shop in Lead Hill, AR. My plan is to have the truck set back to stock by the local dealer, then deliver to Brian to have him work his magic. Not sure if he can help the fuel mileage as the truck also has a 6" Pro Comp lift and 37's.
Here is my question...with the DPF gone, can the truck be set back to stock and still be driven or will it need to be trailer to Lead Hill?
