Just thought I'd share a couple pictures of side by side lights of different types.
This is a 6000K HID (Passenger side) next to a 125W output "Euro" Style H4 bulb (drivers side), which is supposed to be 6000K like the HID bulb. The Euro style bulb is just a bright halogen with a light blue coating on the outside to change the kelvin tint to the light.
And this is a stock sealed beam halogen (Passenger side) next to the same 6000K HID bulb in the last picture.
Did you change any wiring harness to run the HIDs, or just change to lens units to hold hem?
G.
No changes to the stock wiring harness. H4 bulbs plug directly in. The only thing with HID is the incorporation of the ballasts. The wiring is easy; Attach the positive lead to the battery, the negative to the body, and then run the wires across the front to the other side, and plug them in.
Drivers Side
They are not projector, but reflector. There is a company that makes projector conversion lenses for both square and round, but I think they are more expensive..

The only pictures that I have right now are from a set of lenses that I got at first that were not the right type, but this is a general idea of what the light pattern should look like.
Has anybody tried the headlights that eBay sells?
As soon as my parts get in, I'm going to wire up relays to my stock lights, and make my decision from there on aftermarket lights.
Its hard to see in the pic, but is the light pattern pretty solid?
I know when i installed HID'S on my 02 cavalier, it had light and bright spots.
The headlight wasn't made for HID's so the pattern kinda sucked.
The light output was great tho.
