4wd not switching
Hi I have a question of you about shifting of a 1997 f150 in and out of 2hi 4 hi 4 lo? I have one that quit shifting acted like it was in "neutral" then finely found 2lo. If I played with it enough it would maybe eventually shift from 2H to 4H to 4 lo sometimes and back. I replaced the shift motor and GEM (gem from bone yard but fixed 1/2 the problem so) So the way it sits now is if switch is in 2H when I first turn key on truck "shifts into 2H" if I switch is in 4H when first turned on truck shifts into 4H if I try and change the shift with truck\key on nothing the dash lights follow the actual transfer case position. I'm very confused on this one. have searched all over these forums and the internet too and have not seen anything similar to this. I hoped maybe you might have a idea?? Thank You ALOT!!!!
