I'd insist on a photo of the side that engages the rim. The generic ones typically have a wire ring that sorta snaps over the lug studs, rather than using tabs that lock onto the four cut-outs in the hub bore. I bought a pair of rear caps of this kind, and both popped off on the road; heard tell of others having the same experience. If these ones actually engage the four cut-outs like the OEM ones do, you're good to go, but otherwise, you may be seeing them flyin' into the ditch in your mirror one day.
I'm not sure, but I think I just got the OK from the wife to go ahead and get this truck!
I guess I'll know for sure if I sleep with the fishes tomorrow night!
I've got 18 cars so obviously I've tested mine for 35 years. It always comes back to haunt you though, they never forget!
Oh I know, my wife holds on to a grudge like I hold on to truck parts! With 18 vehicles, You may have already passed the test.........go for 19 and see! LOL!
I've trimmed mine down some the last couple years. I promised her tonight this would be the last one until I get the old home place renovated. We're gonna completely gut the house I grew up in and redo the whole thing and build on to it, so, no more trucks for while after this one.
Like I told you before, she really is a wonderful woman, I just like to pick. But I know I do push her to her limit sometimes with my trucks and toys.
I've been holding on to hope for 2 yrs now looking for another rear cap. I may just send mine your way if you don't get another...
I appreciate the thought - but I'd hate for you to do that. I think I found singles and a few sets online...they were just pricey. One of these days, I might just bite the bullet and order one. I guess I could always go aftermarket and replace both of them, but I'd rather stay stock if possible. The thing that sucks is...when I bought the truck last fall, it had both of them on it. I rotated the tires like a moth later, and I guess I didn't get the one on there good, because I later noticed that it was gone. That hurt.
