It's that time of the year again when the snow isn't on the ground and the weather has gotten a little warmer to work on the beasts.
Finally got the truck back towards the house after a few months and with 186,500 miles on it now.
Changed the original front brake pads and re-lubed the sliders with synthetic grease. I personally don't believe in turning the rotors unless I see gouging or feel the front shake when braking and then I'll just replace both rotors at the same time.
Replaced the original front shocks which have been showing moisture on them for some time. Nothing special for replacement, just some Gabriel's.
Fuel filter, air filter, and another oil change.
As for the rear of the truck, will replace the back shocks before hooking up to the 5th wheel and replace the back brake pads which those I did at 80,000 miles once already.
Something satisfying working on the truck and knowing a service manager isn't going to coming out with something else that broke when they where working on it.
This past weekend and the weekend before I replace my steering stabilizer, 1 bad COP and put on a new cat-back stainless steel Flowmaster exhaust. I do love when the weather gets warm and it's fun again to work on vehicles.
Spring maintenance is great. There was a 30-minute break in the rain last week when I changed my oil. This past Saturday I got the truck detailed, minus the wax and checked most of the fluids.
Don't forget to drop and inspect your spare tire. Mine had lost about 20psi since I last checked it, probably 18 months ago.

Great point about the spare, out of sight out of mind untill it's needed.
