Hello all new to the site so if this has been asked and answered before forgive me. Well the problem is this. I own a 2005 f250 xlt 6.0 diesel 4+4 and recently at around 40 mph if I gradually accelerate the truck shakes like the fuel got shut off or something. I changed oil, tranny oil, fuel filters,balanced/rotated tires yesterday 93,000 miles. Ford hooked into computer and couldn't find a problem. This problem usually happens when engine is fairly cold and not warmed up. I baby my truck no chips no hot ******* it. I use this truck for what it's made for. Long hauls and pulling well maintained. Please if u have a suggestion to what it may be I sure would appricate it. And why is at 40-60 mph only?
Thanks in advanced

Welcome to FTE! No codes make this a little harder. When the dealer scanned it for codes did they check FICM voltages? They may not if you instructed them to just scan it. Ruff running when cold is often FICM or fuel injector related. It is possible to check FICM at home with a meter. Look in the Tech Folder for instructions. A scan gauge II is a great little device that allows you to see a lot of what's going on under the hood and will get you started in the right direction for many issues.
Thank you for the help I will look into that.Going back to dealer tomorrow.Injectors was my guess. Ford told me he checked computer for trannie problem but found nothing. I try my hardest to let my truck warm up before driving but some times I don't have the time. Like I said this happens only when engine is cold like first 10-20 minutes of driving. Thanks again I will post any new news

I'm jumping ahead here a bit, but if it turns out to be low FICM voltage be aware repair at the dealership will be a little over $1k (new FICM plus software "flash"). If you can wait, it is possible to get your unit reliably repaired with quick shipping for as little as $350 (last I heard). Post back here for info or check Ed@ficmrepair. Lots of good feedback here on this site for his work. Good luck with it!
Thanks I will check that too. Yeah leaving at dealership until this problem is solved. I love this truck. Owned many trucks but this is my first diesel and I can't go back to gas. I enjoy driving it every day. The power the sounds.Only problem with this 6.0 is it's never a quick fix always overnighter at dealership. Prayed it was just fuel filters but I knew it wasn't . I was about 2k miles early chainging them n they weren't that bad off either. Funny thing is I start a 2 year heavy equipment mechanic class in two months. Maybe in a few years I will actually be able to fix my own truck and help others trouble shoot their problems too. Buddys rag on me about the 6.0 but to be honest other then a trainnie seal, differential seal, egr sensor(repaired by first owner). Other than that it's been amazing. Think I actually got a "Good" 6.0 I'm just paying for the first two owners mistakes of not taking care of it.But im keeping it till the wheels fall off!! Or the warranty runs out lol whichever is first

I was reading your truck bio. That EGR delete kit you have is it true that is suppose to make the 6.0 damn near bullet proof? So I hear thought about buying one when warranty runs out think it voids repairs if I get it on now.
