Hi crystal and welcome to the forum
To tell if your fuel pump is bad you'd have to get the fuel pressure tested.
If it is low then the pump could be bad.
More common problems for the codes you've got are vacuum leaks, especially a cracked hose to the PVC valve, or possibly a dirty MAF sensor. Both of those are much easier to fix than replacing the fuel pump. If you look in the "Frequently Asked Questions" at the top of the forum you should find some instructions there about these.
Yes they are codes for the O2s but the problem quite often is something that causes the O2s to not read right, not a problem with the sensors themselves.
A plugged fuel filter can also cause those codes but usually if it's plugged enough to cause codes it will run really poorly.
hey I had the same problem with my truck ('97, F-150, 4x4, 5.4). I changed the spark plugs and two O2 sensors with no success. The fix was replacing the PVC hose, it had a rip in the 90 degree elbow behind the throttlebody. Good Luck!
thank you all...i have replaced about $6000 worth of stuff since july 2003 with the O2 sensors being a part of that. yesterday when i got home my boyfriend had already replaced my fuel pump and fuel filter. he showed me the mesh bag thing and i was covered in mud and grass. i drove it and it died but after that it drives like its never driven before i am so happy. im begining to think my truck has been flooded even though i cant find any reports to back that up. every crevice on my truck when i got it had mud and grass crammed in it and now that mesh thing. anyway that you everyone for your advice
