You can go to many websites to find what invoice price is. True car I believe shows invoice priced. KBB, Edmunds, etc. If you want a dealer to offer it, just ask the dealer or get bids. I had several dealers that offered under invoice price with a simple bid request.
I am not sure what rebates are after 1/1, but AQHA and Sams Club is still good.
I have found Edmunds.com to be a good resource to checking invoice pricing. But as others have said, any dealer that would not show you the invoice pricing is probably a dealer you should pass on trading with........
NADA is also a good source for invoice pricing. The build I did on there matched the dealer’s invoice number exactly. I haven’t been able to find any PCO’s recently and all my dealer sees is $1000 customer cash offer. It will probably be the same in January. Ford is doing well right now on trucks and SUV’s so no need for incentives in their eyes. You’ll just have to negotiate a deal that is 10% or more below MSRP. That is the general consensus for deals on SD from what I have found. However you should be able to find a great deal on a 17 right now. I see some large volume dealers offering $10k to $12k off 17’s.
10-11% off MSRP sale price BEFORE tax and fee's is where the 18s are landing using A plan pricing. In general invoice now days is around 5-6% below MSRP. Automakers have slowly brought invoice closer and closer to MSRP over the last 10-15 years as everyone demands to pay invoice or less They just "hide" the profits in volume incentives now.

100% Agree with you...I believe this began when the WWW became available to everyone and true invoice was easily discovered.

A plan used to be a killer deal, now it's barely better than anyone can get if they ask nicely Usually the only thing that makes A plan a better deal now days is the cap on dealer fee's of $100 vs the $700 or so most dealers charge.
I've been building and pricing the new trucks each year and the spread between MSRP and invoice is indeed getting smaller and smaller each year.
However, what is "invoice pricing"? My guess is that its a number that makes the consumer happy the closer they get to it or under and has little to do with the actual cost of building a truck. As the spread gets smaller, the consumer may feel he's getting a good deal while the manufacturer is actually increasing their bottom line. On the plus side, it is number that everyone can use as a reference point, but I'd use "invoice" as the absolute most I'd pay with the aim of coming in a little under if possible.
x2 on NADA. When I ordered my 18, NADA had MSRP and invoice numbers before they were released on Ford.com and before the dealer had any numbers. It wasn’t until a couple weeks after I placed the order that the 18 pricing was released but sure enough, NADA matched MSRP and invoice down to the last dollar.
Thanks for the information. I have heard of X plan, but not A plan. How does one get A plan pricing?
One way is to be related to a Ford worker. Another is to be a Ford worker. lol I think others can get pricing like it. railroad workers get a deal along with UPS i think too.
Here is one of the build sheets my dealer did for me. He included invoice and all the plan prices as well. I added the % off MSRP at the bottom. The plans also save you $500+ on fees plus other rebates can also be subtracted from the bottom line.
