need help with this one I was working on cleaning up some wiring under the dash and hood for a few things I have installed ( lights and snows kit and air horn) and when I was done and tried to fire up the truck I got to key on and then the dash lights came on and said check guages and the odometer and trip guage are reading ----------- also I have a edge CS juice with attitude that is saying it cannot connect with the juice module I have checked all connections with the edge system and found nothing wrong, the truck wont crank at all I hear the buzzing when I first turn the key on but thats it. both batteries are new and I think I been over all the connections I can see 5 times allready im running out of ideas and patience please help
trace the wires until u can see if u accidentally knocked it off their connections.
check also the connections for the new things which u installed. if they're installed where they're supposed to be along the lines of the wires, then ur good. otherwise, u might need to make some corrections.
looked through all that stuff i was even tinking about hauling it off to see but it all looks to be installed correctly Ovousily I know its something I did but i have little clue as to where to look becides what I have been looking at
Have you checked ALL the fuses ? I mean pull EACH one out and put your meter on it and check for continuity. Dont just look at them and think they are good. Physically check with a meter. If they are ALL good....thats one huge thing you can cross off the list. Next, I would start disconnecting the things you added to the truck starting from the last item. Example: train horns (or whatever)...then try starting the truck. That dont start it...move to the next item...disconnect...try starting. Keep at it sir....you'll get it.
NEWFEE i had what sounds like the same thing happen when i did my oil cooler went to start and did what sounds like yours is doing . Try this unhook both batts for a few then try. I did that mine started right up.
well i guess i figured it out i gave everything another look over and grabbed a hold of a bunch of wires from behind the fuse panel and wiggled them a bit and then gave it another try and what ya know it fired right up like there was nothing ever wrong so must be a loose connection somewhere under there im not really in a hurry to find it either its running now and thats good enough for me for now thanks all of ya for the advise
no prob. we're all here to offer a 2nd opinion. i'm glad u found it. now u jus gotta double check tat bunch. there might be chafing or it might be loose like u say. i'd take the necessary steps to ensure it dont happen again. i'm sure ur blood pressure jumped up for a bit. i know mine would. lol.
