Ok guys!!!!! I think its fixed. Pulled another code on cylinder 5. Pulled the coil and put new one in and runs like a champ. I talked to a few people and the plugs that are in here are bosh platinum and they say they are crap. I bought all new motercraft platinum and plan on replacing all of them on saturday. So far so good I will keep this updated if any change. I have been looking all over this forum and it seems like everything comes back to these darn coils. If I could give anyone any advice check all the coils even if you dont get a code.
Good advice. We all have to learn the hard way sometimes, including me. LOL. I learned a ton over the last couple of months troubleshooting mine. Still drive it two footed pulling up to stop lights, because of the problem I was having with the bad coil. Good times.
Ok its back. Bought another new coil put it on now reading cam sensor code. Bought a new on and still reading same code. Got another on the way and we will see what happens!!!!!!
Chad, Are you pulling the plugs off while listening to the idle to figure out which COP is bad? On mine, I could hear the pitch of the idle change, granted I have after market exhaust.
I did the same thing on mine. It turned out to be the passenger side spark plug foiled out due to an old coolant leak( think it was #1, either way it was the closest to the rad on the pass side.) Hope you find the gremlin.
I've been chasing a similar issue. Just now did I get a code to come up and it says misfire on cylinder 8. It has a new plug and coil pack. Going to try to replace the coil pack connector then fuel injector. If that fails then the only other thing would be intake gasket.
