Rear brake conversion

I've been wanting to do a few upgrades. Anyone know of a disc brake conversion for the 98' F150?

Rear brake conversion

Someone jump in here if I am mistaken but I am pretty sure that the later trucks either came stock with rear discs or maybe it's an optional item. I am almost sure I've heard questions being asked about replacing the rear pads/rotors. If this is the case I would guess you could get the needed parts from a bone yard or new from dealer ($$$$$$$).

Hi ScubaSteve and welcome to FTE

StevePA has the right idea. Check the wreckers for the rear end out of a truck with discs. Shouldn't be hard to find.

Rear brake conversion

What equipment does your truck have (engine 4x4 etc?). 99 I'm pretty sure its an option and 00 up its standard rear disc brakes. It will take some looking but I'm sure your not the first guy to ask about disc brakes. You may need to change the master cyldiner, or some valving as far as residual pressure valves or proportioning.
