All I did today was work the heck out of it.

Drove from Heron Lake in New Mexico to Mesa Verde National Park. Man, there are a lot of hard long pulls taking 84 to 160. But, she ran strong.

The calipers cost $75.00 each for both the front and rear.
The odd thing is the core for the rear is $75 but the front
ones ate $90.00 each. I did look at the White Bear site and
they also come in at about the same. So it pay shipping or
sales tax.
What is it with these brakes? Apart from the hard lines and ABS everything is new. Yesterday I drive 200 miles, all OK, nice and cool. Drive around village, make a couple of calls, must be all of one mile, fronts so hot they smell. Later on we go to a steak place about 10 miles away so i take the beast to see what happens. Again, brakes stay cool

That is what I am thinking too.

It's also the prime reason for the new flex lines. When I removed the
caliper it was not hard to compress and the guide pins had grease on
them and no rust. I am not looking forward to the front flex lines. $$$!!!!!!!

I went to see mine yesterday and paid PSE the last of their money.

It's been a month and 5 days since I've had my truck. I dropped it off at PSE two weeks ago and am playing the waiting game.

Driving Rudolph my 7.3 Excursion for now, I'm grateful I still have it to drive but it's nothing like my 6.0 Excursion The Monster. Been having bad 6.0 withdrawals ever since

Ever notice that when you don't have your truck, everybody has theirs out and makes it a point stop next to you in traffic or fly by you going down the road?

Lesson For Us all: Don't take your 6.0 for granted.

The transmission went out March 16th and I almost spent $5600 to have a Red Diamond Diesel transmission installed. They were backed up for a solid month so my truck sat for a month. When I finally got it there and I went to the shop to put down a deposit and Dorian made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

He had a good working 2006 transmission that he sold me along with an upgraded DPC torque converter saving a ton of cash. So while they had it I had them do a few other things it needed that I didn't have the time or tools to do:

-BD Diesel Up pipes (bigger and stronger)
-BD Diesel exhaust manifolds
-New AC compressor and components
-New Heater core

I went and paid them the rest of their money, so that helps move things along.

Upgraded to '08+ trans pan

Finally, got to install my upgraded trans pan with internal filter.
I've always heard the stock internal filter was just a screen, but I had a similar looking filter to the '08+.

Stock pan with the old filter, it has an internal mesh-type filter Old filter p/n

Painted it with VHT so it would look purty.

Lots of fine grit on the old magnet.

Keep getting P0299's only when I tow. Turbo was cleaned and unison ring was replaced a while back. Thinking about replacing it.

Was thinking of going to this one but it may be overkill
