2003 6.0 branch tubes

any tips on removing the branch tube from the heads without removing them. covers off, trans pulled. tks

trying not to remove heads. everything is disconnected, pushrods blocking egress.

so are the branch tubes leaking or something????????

they seem to be problem free for most part on an 03 but anything possible

Use a die grinder wrench. Works for me every time

i guess what I am saying is do you have to remove the back top 2 head bolts to get the tube out.

No you don't need to remove the head or any head bolts. Assuming you are talking about the standpipes. They just take a thin wall 18MM (IIRC) socket, and the tool, or diagrinder wrench, to remove the braided line that goes to the oil rail.

I am talking about the branch tube below the hpop that the standpipes thread into. Is it possible to remove the pushrod tubes without removing the 2 headbolts? The branch tube is held in place with 2 8mm bolts. It has to be pulled out the back.

That's what I figured you were talking about. I can't see anyway you could get to the bolts to undo the branch tubes without removing the heads first.

Yes it has to come out the back.
