So back to Bryce's original issue, getting the bolt off....is there any way to make it easier to get this bolt out, aside from pulling the engine pulliing the front cover and trying to get at it that way? What about alternatives to getting the Hpop off?
I would try to cut the head of the bolt off with a dremel, or drill the head off, then once the HPOP is out of the way try vise grips or something on the "stud" that is remaining.
One way to get the bolt out is to drill the head off. Then with the HPOP out of the way it would be unloaded and can be grabbed with vice grips easily. Just drill down the center with a smaller bit, then slowly drill into the head with a full size, or just under full sized bit. The head will shear off and the pump can be removed.

No. Limited Battery power, freezing outside, and better light tomorrow. Chances are we will pull IPR tomorrow or thursday and see if things change after R&R.
Drilling out the head of the bolt sounds like a decent idea. Might be something we will have to try.

Dang it...Now I have to wait til tomorrow to find out if it starts...
Definitely tomorrow I will be tearing into it. I have never removed an IPR but I need to have my truck running. Does Napa sell IPR's? or would I have to get one from a stealership?
If I need a new one I'd like to go get it in the AM so that I for sure have it tomorrow.
I suppose cutting off the head of that bolt is my only option now. I'll post a pic here in a sec.
Even if I never get that stud out, is it the end of the world if the T-500 is held on by 1 bolt instead of 2?
I am going to call the stealership and check on their pricing and availability. If they have one and they are open until later, I suppose I'll take mine off and see if it works then if need be, go pick it up.
When I tear into it, should I try to get that hpop bolt head ground off while I'm at it? Or should I just address one thing at a time? If I get that stocker off and the T-500 in, I know that as long as I hook it up right, if there is still a problem, it wont be the pump.
Just a thought. I would just hate to get a brand new IPR in there then ruin it while grinding on that bolt and prying that old HPOP off.
Not that you can't get in there to grind on it, but if you ask me, drilling the head off will be safer and take far less of a chance damaging anything. Not a ton of room for that bolt. (which you already know)
