Backflushing system
Well soon I'll be back flushing my oil cooler and the whole system. I was wondering if there was a way to back flush the EGR cooler, unless when you back flush the oil cooler if it sends water through the EGR cooler. I'll be back flushing the radiator, oil cooler and heater core this way I can get my deltas lower than 20*.
Looking through the PDF file for back flushing the system it only talks about the oil cooler,radiator and heater core, and if I can back flush my EGR cooler this way I can get any crap that might be in there so I will have a clean system.

Thats what I was seeing as well. So if you do it that way, then you won't have to worry about taking that cap off the oil cooler or did you still take the cap off the oil cooler and back flush that well.

Did you remove both block drains since the passenger side is right by the starter, when I was going to do mine I was just going to use the driver side block drain.

I didn't remove the passenger side drain, but my deltas were/are 4-6f at 60 mph when up to operating temp. If you are experiencing higher deltas as you commented it may not be idea to remove both for a more thorough flush.
My flush was preventitive maintainence as I had been running a coolant filter for quite some time and my deltas were well within spec.
In your situation I would use the Restore first to hopefully loosen up your blockage, then reverse flush it out. Good Luck!

Although, what would be in the egr cooler .... maybe not much anyways perhaps?
I do like the idea of a quick hook-up to an easy access hose though.
