Help with a bench seat

Just bought a '64 F100 (literally 2hrs ago) and I'm soooo excited!! Problem is it has no seat or brackets. Can someone help with exactly how to find one? I would like to stay bench but was wondering if there is a range of years that will fit or if it has to be a '64. It needs some other little odds and ends but right now the lack of seat is the only thing keeping me from driving it. I'm dying to drive it so I would appreciate any help you could give me and used it just fine with me, that's why God made foam and seat covers. Thank you in advance! Stacey

Any seat from 1957-about 1999 will fit. 61-79 fit best. The late 70's you have to take the seat lock off, but other than that most just bolt right up.

Brackets from 61 to 72 will directly bolt in.

Seats from 61 to 96 will directly bolt to the 61 to 72 brackets. 96 up round style trucks an newer seats will not bolt to the correct brackets.

73 up brackets are longer as the floor pan was stretched and require modifications.

Anything else can be adapted or modified with enough work and fabrication skill.

I put a 79 seat in my 65, last week, and the only modification I had to do was take the seat lock off. All the holes lined right up.

Bolted a 76 into my 65 no mods to floor track brackets needed. Holes lined up perfect. I did notice that the seat back does not sit as high in the cab rear window as the stock 65 did. It is just at or below the rubber gasket where the 65 was about an inch above and standing outside you can see the top of the seat in the window. Not that it made a whole lot of difference just something I noticed with the newer seat back.

How about a picture of your new seat installation?

This is the 76 seat into a 65 4wd cab it would be the same floor pan as your 64. Bolted right in.

Stacey,
You didn't say where you're located, but I'm in Mississippi and I have one in a parts truck that will be going to the scrap yard next month. I'd rather sell it cheap than scrap it... it doesn't take much to beat scrap price.
The problem is I don't have a way to ship it, so you'd have to be within driving distance.
