E4OD Conversion questions

You need to find a pre-powerstroke truck for the controller. The transmission has to be from a 460 as the diesel block is different. Dan Lee in Delaware has one behind a 302 and he has been through a bunch and is still fighting with it. I think he said he was going to Baumann for a controller. I elected to convert my 86 to EFI. There is a thread on this forum, Major rework on 86 F350.

Despite the fact that I said I didn't want any computers in my truck I'm thinking about running the E4OD in my 86. I'm going with the Baumann OptiShift controller. I didn't even know you could get a controller from Ford (so to speak). I've heard that Ford's programming was junk.
And yes, you'll need a 460 E4OD, the diesel case won't work.
