E4OD with a carburetor?
I recently looked at a 95F150 with a 5.8, E4od. It had been converted to a carburetor. Obviously it was not shifting correctly.
I'm currently searching for a cheap fix. Does anyone have any recommendations on running the trans with a carb?

The best thing to do is pass on that truck and find a different one. The only real way to get the transmission shifting 100% correctly is to purchase an aftermarket transmission controller from a company like U.S. Shift. At the minimum you'd be around $600 all-in.
The problem is your shift points will be all wrong. Like ~3000 RPM maximum. Not exactly ideal for a 5.8 V8.
