Since I received the glowing recommendations for using Fluid Film to help control rust on my 1999 E-350 on this forum I've been using it regularly as I work on getting my van back into shape.
There is a bubbling action when it first meets a rusty metal area and then, after a few days, that reddish brown turns to a dark almost black color. The coating stays moist.
One spray can goes a long way. I only just emptied the first one. About $11 each

Yup, I'm a fan of the stuff. Fluid Film used to be a site sponsor and a couple years back they were giving out free cans to anyone who PMed them their mailing address. Seems to penetrate rust really well and has been my most useful tool keeping my old rusty Contour alive.
