Woundering what to use to rust proof my new to me texas truck for my wisconsin winters!

Is it worth spraying everything with a nice hard paint so the slop doesn't stick was planing on taking door panels off and poring por 15 or similar in bottom seams cus last truck rusted there dude to moisture where no paint in the inner door seams. I just would hate to see truck like my 03 7.3 did rust. it has 30k on the clock and it's mint
