I would like to put one on my truck as well, but I'm more afraid I would catch it on something and break it off. Being brass, and sticking out the way it does straight out the bottom of the pan, I am afraid I would just smear it off on something while hauling firewood out of a woods some place and end up with 4 gallons of Rotella all over the place and a stranded truck full of firewood. Maybe I am over-thinking it, I don't know.

Turns out it's on Fumoto's web site. They show pictures and list sizes. For our trucks' F111 valves, it's supposed to be a 5/8" hose clip.

Also, you'd have to completely slam the suspension all the way to its stops and high center the bottom of the truck simultaneously to get this thing to make contact with the ground, I think.

Yeah, I was thinking that the front axle might be lower than the pan and offer some sort of protection for it as well. I would be more concerned about catching it on a bunch of corn stalks or a bunch of brush or something than I would be about actually high centering the truck on something solid.

Maybe I will order one from Clay the next time I place an order with him for something else. It would certainly be handy. The one with the nipple on it might be nice too as you could attach a short piece of tubing to it to direct the oil flow into your catch pan.

That exact scenario is listed on the Fumoto website as to why you would want the hose clip there.

Also, this is what it looks like installed on my stock 95 4x4.

I like it! I may have to get one some time soon. I think I am about 1,000 miles away from being due for an oil change. Maybe then. That doesn't look at all like it would be in danger of being caught on something unless you're really doing something stupid. Looks good to me.
