motor popping?

I have a 1967 f100 with a 1972 f100 302 in it. Its got a highrise aluminum intake, edelbrock 600 carb, summit headers, dual 2" exhaust w/ glasspacks. Recently my driver side exhaust has started popping during idle. Any ideas would be greatly appretiated. Thanks for the help in advanced.

it could be either:
sticking exhaust valve
wonky timing

basically- either the exhaust valve is open when it shouldn't be, or the cylinder is firing when it shouldn't be.

how's your timing look? steady?

The timing is set good, im sure of it. How can i check the valve without taking my head off? Is it possible?
