I'll have to crunch some numbers on the F250, but I did some pretty extensive math on my 4Runner and determined completely removing both anti-sway bars increased my roll tendency by 3.7%.
Also, a more articulate suspension is definitely not only of benefit in extreme crawling scenarios. With an open or limited-slip differential, any resistance to allowing both sides of an axle to share equal road force will decrease total traction available. In other words, even if all 4 tires are still on the ground, the further you get from level with a roll-resistance suspension, the less traction you have available with any non-locking differential.
Sway bars are necessary for proper on and off road suspension behavior. They need to be sized to match your lift, travel and weight. You'll never see a competition off road vehicle (rock crawler or desert racer) without a sway bar.

Anti-sway bars generally improve many aspects of suspension function, but even still, "proper" is perhaps too general a term, especially when it comes to offroad driving.
