Help
I need some help finding a good cab for a 53-55 f100. I live in Victoria Texas so I would like to find one in my own state but if there is a cherry can somewhere I would pay to have it shipped.

Note that the cabs (and hoods) from all the models all the way up to the Big Jobs (except COEs) are the same as your desired F100 cab, and often the bigger trucks are in better condition, not as heavily picked over and cheaper than the small ones. so check out flatbeds, dump trucks etc in construction and truck salvage yards. Any good excess large model sheetmetal is sought after since they are not reproduced, you can recover some/all the purchase price of a solid complete parts truck. You aren't that far from the SW states where the climate is very kind to metal, so check on line classifieds like major daily newspapers and craigslist for cities in AR, NM, NV etc. If you find something outside your area, you might see if there is a member here in that area who might check it out for you.
There are members on here that have a compulsion to save every and any mid fifty truck part they run across, so you might PM people like Bigwin or they might contact you.

Miller, here's a tip:
Put the subject of the post in the topic header. "Need help finding 53-55 cab" will get more and more direct responses than an ambiguous "help" where we have to open the topic to find out what you need help with, and reopen to remind ourselves if we have seen the post before, they tend to stay around a long time.
Tip#2 add your location to your profile so we know where you are at, and what you are working on/have interest in in your garage. To edit your profile after logging in, click on "user cp" in the light blue band near the top of the page.
