trying to determinie value of 1976 F-150 King Cab

I've got a 1976 F-150 King Cab with a little over 100K miles on it. It seems to be a rarity as I can find no information on this particular model (there is tons of info on regular cab models from this year). I am trying to determine a value of the vehicle. Seems like it would make a sweet restoration project, but before I go sinking money into I want to find out a little more about its value.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!!

try a search for "what's the value" or "how much is it worth"

People post stuff like this all the time, no matter how much the management tries to avoid it.

Boils down to "depends on where you live and who shows up to look at it."

I appreciate the help. I didn't realize management was against folks trying to find information like this.

I certainly understand all the typical "depends" scenarios, however I am coming up short on finding this model listed anywhere. I thought maybe some Ford enthusiasts might have heard of this particular model. As much trouble as I have been having trying to find a value I would think this may be a collectable, but again, I can't find any information anywhere.

They are definitely out there. Take for example my 74 supercab in my avatar.

Around here value really depends on the overall truck. In the East they can bring $800 or more for a rust free cab.

Again - waaay too many variables.

I'll bite. Where are you located, what options does the truck have (engine, trans, P/S, P/B, A/C, etc) and what kind of shape is it in (rust, dents, interior, etc)?

Question - "King Cab" ?? I've heard of "regular cab", SuperCab", and "Crew Cab". I've seen a "King Ranch" option on a new F-450 < (BIG & "tricked out" MAX ).

How about some photos, and if it's too much bother to fix up, I'll just come by and take it off of your hands for ya!

PS: I don't think any of the dentside 73-79 model years are collectable, or rare, but some are more available than others, and would bring a higher premium.

PSII: Welcome to FTE!!

Sorry for the late respons.

I'm bringing it home today and will post some pics. It definitely has some rust issues, and the paint job sucks. I think the previous owner tried to paint it himself and did a pretty sorry job.

Mechanically it's in good shape. I put a new radiator in it and had the entire brake system, lines and all, replaced. It's a V-8, but other than that I can't tell you much about the engine as I am not a mechanic type. I bought it about 5 years ago because it ran good and was a pick-up truck. Who can't use a good pick-up right?

I kinda had dreams of restoring it, but two things are jamming me up. I have some medical bills that are sucking up my money, and I am not mechanically inclined enough to know how to do it on the cheap.

I think it could be a fairly rare truck which is why I'm curious about the value.

a good set of pics would really help
all around, inside, engine bay, the vin/warranty tag (from the driver door jam), etc...
- as well as your location
