As I was going down the interstate today, I noticed a very audible whistling noise (sounds like and old style VW horn that is about ready to die. It sounds as if it is coming from under the dash, behind steering wheel, but it could be coming from around the cowling, not sure. This only seemed to happen above about 40 mph and when headed into the wind, or a strong right side wind. 2009 SD4dr, 6.4L Diesel, 2wd. Anybody with any ideas? Thanks
My EX did that. It would start "whistling" when I got up to around 50mph. We had to have the window reset. So far it's fixed the problem. When it starts to get warmer outside the sound had stopped, the window guy said it was because the plastic/rubber expanded and sealed the small hole.

Had the same problem. Had the front windshield resealed and no problems for over 12k miles. Took the longest time figuring out what it was though.
Did it sounds like a kazoo? If so, then its the front windshield seal as mentioned above. Happens to mine whenever there is a during wind as I'm driving. Couldn't get any if my local dealers to fix because they couldn't duplicate.
