I sometimes get an annoying wind turbulence noise at highway speeds, and I'm thinking that it is caused by air hitting the fiberglass Lund visor on top of my windshield. Anybody else have the same noise with a visor?
I also get an annoying squeak on the rear window seal when it is up, mostly in winter when it is cold. However if you have the same problem just lightly grease the seal and the problem is solved.
I had a friend with the same noise, removed the visor, noise is gone. I'd bet that's your problem. You could check the mounting points and make sure it's tight... Just a thought.
I have the same problem with my 87 XLT. Those damn Lunds!!! But I love the look and the functionality of the visor so I ignore the noise and offset it with the radio volume button!
Yes, there will be holes if you remove it. It was on a Chevy Astro, so I took it off and plugged the holes with bubble gum. It doesn't leak, only took 10 minutes to do. I figured, what the heck... it's a Chevy!
With a 1996 EB and the Lund SunVisor there may be more wind noise, the truck had it when purchased...however with ALL THE NOISE from the rear cargo area how da heck can you tell .
My dad wants me to do a full noise deadening on this beast. Bassani sounds great except we hear to much of it inside the cab.
