Need referrals to San Diego 6.0 service Tech's

Hey all-

OK... I haven't posted in forever, but now I'm in need of your help. My 2004 F250 6.0 is out of extended warranty and I need a GOOD, reputable and fairly priced shop or independent technician to diagnose and service my ride. I'm in San Diego County - Santee, CA to be exact. Please PM me or reply to this post with your recommendations.

Thanks!

I use Miramar Ford Truck, on Miramar Rd near the 805. They work on all types of diesel engines. There has never been a problem with the quality of there work, but I have only gone there for warranty repairs. I have heard of people using M.I.T. in El Cajon they are more of a general repair shop but they also do diesel repairs. If you find a good specialty shop post back with your results.

You can also try Meullers Truck and Equip. In Santee on Kenny St. They handle alot of 6.0 traffic.

Hey, Brian...long time

If you don't mind driving up to San Jacinto there's an excellent shop there:

Hey, Steve! How you been doing?

I'm not ready to take the long drive for the immediate need, but it's good to know they are there if the need arises when I'm in that neck of the woods.

Thanks just the same for the referral

I decided to just do it myself...

P0276 DTC led me to a FICM voltage check, which failed terribly @ 23VDC cold cranking and 25VDC cold idle... Sent the FICM to Ed FICM Repair.com - Your Source for FICM Repair
I got it back today! went to install it and the harness then exposed itself as completely hosed... Got online and ordered part number 3C3Z9D930AA from www.partsguyed.com next day air for only $220.00 (the harness was $169). Soooooo..... Tomorrow, maybe Thursday I'll finally get this done correctly. I'll be looking diligently for other trouble spots while under the hood.

EDIT:
OK, I fixed this all last weekend and BOY was there ever trouble found! Have a look at this uglyness! It was similar on all 8 injector plugs, too. The replacement harness is now reinforced with wire-wrap and liberal use of electrical tape.
