I have a 04 450 6.0 that I picked up a couple of months ago. It ran pretty good but come to find out it had a bad injector in it. So I replaced the injector & now when I drive it a few miles it will just die. It will turn over but it wont start. I replaced the batteries thinking it mite that. Because I would get it home put a charger on it & it would start. Now Im lost any ideas what it would be.
I just let the truck run in my drive way for about 20 mins then took it for a drive & make it about 3 blocks & it died again. so its sitting on the side of the road right now.
well I towed it home yesterday, put a battery charger on it because I drained the batteries down alittle trying to start i. Then last night i went out to take the charger off & tried to start it it fired right up. This has happened 4 times now.
Its like when the truck warms up to running temp & I when I go to stop or take my foot of the throttle pedal it dies & wont start until it completely cooled off.
What gets me is it didn't do this until I replaced the #7 injector & the injector harness with a 06 or 07 harness. Does anyone know if a 04 injector harness is the same as a 06, 07 harness.
Well I found out what the problem is. My HP Oil Rail is leaking so when the truck warms up, the oil brakes down, I lose my oil pressure & the truck stops running
